Monitoring and alerting

Round-the-clock monitoring of your links, our gateways and, if you want, the equipment itself.

We monitor everything we install, and can monitor the equipment behind it. When something stops responding, the service desk sees it at once and so, if you want, does your own team.

What we monitor

Monitoring by type of device
DeviceWhat is checkedInterval
Site routers and linksReachability, latency, packet loss, cellular signal, failover state60 seconds
Access gatewaysService health, sessions open, certificate expiry, disk and memory60 seconds
Equipment (optional)Reachability by ICMP or TCP; SNMP values or vendor status pages where available1 to 15 minutes

Alerts

Alerts are raised on the service desk and can be sent to your team by email or text message, or into your own systems by webhook. Each alert has a priority, set with you when the site is connected, which decides who is told and how quickly we act. Planned maintenance suppresses alerts for the equipment it covers.

Reports

Each month you receive a report for every site: availability, incidents, sessions by engineer and changes made. Reports are kept on the service desk for two years.
